A common misconception is that dessert is unhealthy. I understand why people come to this conclusion because let’s face it – desserts are usually laden with processed sugars and unhealthy fats. And the desserts that are healthy often taste nothing like the real deal. Can dessert ever be healthy and delicious?
The answer is yes, Yes, and YES! Today and tomorrow, I will be sharing two of my favourite healthy desserts with you, starting with a healthified version of cheesecake!
Welcome… mini cheesecake bites!These are made using my greek yogurt cheesecake recipe. Instead of baking it in a 9×9 inch pan, use a 24-cup mini muffin pan. Press the oat bran crust up against the sides and bottom of the muffin wells, forming cups. Bake the crust for 10 minutes at 350°F before filling and baking again.
Each of these babies contain 4g of carbs, 1g of fat, 3g of protein, and only costs you 36 calories.
